ITB – S1 E4: Originality and Jeff

  Featuring Wood Sugars
May 5th, 2010

Show Info: In our discussion we talk about how we found another podcast with the same format we use. We then talk about originality in comedy and writing. Next, in Experimental Project in Production, we play you the second clip form our vegan documentary (part 1 on Episode 2). In Tramp Stamp Stories, we launch our own version of The Moth (TheMoth.org) where Jeff tells a drug story from his early twenties. Then travel “Inside the Head” of Jeff and hear what’s brewing in his noggin while we record. And last is Status Update where we discus Charles getting liberal with his right winged statuses.

  • Sorry Theresa, our statistics show that our audience is made up largely of mutes. 4,000 d-ls per week from the mute community. It may not seem like that since we rarely get any comments on these pages, but that's because mutes don't like to comment either. They only read and listen. Which is why our podcast is catering to them and difficult for you, sorry.

If you noticed, it's also why the website is divided into /read & /listen sections, to make the mutes feel at home. Thanks for the comment though.

P.S. They go ape shit for Jon McCarthy segments.
  • seriously, listening to these is difficult for me because it's like hanging out without but you've decided I'm not allowed to talk at all.

also, although this has nothing to do with the podcast, the homework I was doing while I listened reminded me I wanted to let Jeff know I saw a copy of Whiskey Pike at the Chicago Reader book swap at Empty Bottle a few weeks ago, so it either has a new owner or is living at the Open Books Store, which is neat, either way.
